| Hipótesis filogenéticas basadas en marcadores moleculares indican que el denominado grupo Reithrodon, incluyendo los géneros vivientes Euneomys, Neotomys y Reithrodon, anteriormente dentro de la tribu Phyllotini, no es monofilético. En cambio, un nuevo clado de rango tribal es recuperado, constituido por Euneomys, Irenomys y Neotomys, comprendiendo una pequeña radiación de sigmodontinos mayormente andinos. | The objective of this study was to characterize the genetic variability of Anglo-Nubian goats using microsatellite markers. The study was conducted using herds from four municipalities of Central-Northern Piauí (Teresina, José de Freitas, Campo Maior, and Angical), where technical information is scarce. Seven markers suggested by FAO were used (ILSTS11, McM527, INRA23, ETH10, OarfCB304, OarfCB48, and MAF209). The samples were genotyped using a 7% polyacrylamide gel. The average number of alleles per locus was 4.0, with observed and expected heterozygosity of 0.38 and 0.55, respectively. | Bupropion is an antidepressant used in the treatment of smoking. The purpose of this study was to prepare controlled-release hydrogel films for buccal administration of bupropion and investigate its physicochemical and cytotoxic properties. The films were prepared from ultrapure sodium carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose K4M, and medium-viscosity chitosan. Evaluation of film physicochemical characteristics was based on scanning electron microscopy, bupropion content, mechanical strength (burst strength, relaxation, resilience, and traction), and cytotoxicity. | The adrenal gland is an important endocrine organ in vertebratesthat produces a wide variety of hormones. The anatomical results showed that the adrenal gland in Bactrian camel had a typical blood supply and innervation. Surprisingly, we found that there was a novel connection mainly consisted of fibrous tissue, blood vessels and nerve bundles between the adrenal gland and the kidney in Bactrian camel, and we named it fibrous tissue-blood vessels-nerve bundles (FBN bundle). | A ocorrência de Cariniana legalis (Mart.) Kuntze (Lecythidaceae) em florestas secundárias em diferentes fases de regeneração sugere que essa espécie seja mais resistente a pleno sol em relação a Paratecoma peroba (Record. & Mell) Kuhlm. (Bignoniaceae) encontrada no interior da floresta primária densa. O objetivo desse trabalho foi caracterizar a plasticidade das variáveis de crescimento, anatômicas e estruturais de parede celular de C. legalis e P. peroba. Como o caule é forte dreno em arbóreas, foi elaborada a hipótese que as plasticidades das ligninas e dos monossacarídeos das hemiceluloses são maiores em relação às variáveis de crescimento e anatômicas, especialmente em C. legalis, mais resistente a pleno sol, como sugere seu hábito ecológico.... |
